It's been a month since I was accepted into The Foundation. Although the course only started on March 30, here is a small recap of where I'm at as of April 24. I guess you can see that as an intent to get accountability working for me!
EDIT 2015-04-24: On March 25 I have officially joined The Foundation as a student!
I've done it, I've applied to The Foundation! As the thank-you-submit page says:
While you wait for your acceptance decision, sit tight, relax, and get ready…if you join us for this six month journey, you’ll have one of the most intense, life changing six months of your life.
Should I be accepted, this will certainly mean making time concessions, but I'm ready for it!
These are the seven highlights of this video from The Foundation:
- Clearly written Why
- 20 mile march, one hour of action per day
- Skill of reflection
- Abundant mindset, giving more than you take
- Figure out the how later, make commitment and say yes
- Reach out for help
I'm each day more interested in applying to The Foundation...
As part of the 30-day challenge that I have accepted to read four chapters of The Science of Getting Rich book for 30 consecutive days, I wanted to write a review of that book. But as it happens, the last chapter of the book summarizes it much better than what I would have been able to do...
After listening to episode 813 of the Entrepreneur On Fire podcast, I have bought the book The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles (published in 1910) and am taking the 30-day challenge to read the following chapters EVERY day for 30-days:
- 4 - The First Principle in The Science of Getting Rich
- 7 - Gratitude
- 11 - Acting in the Certain Way
- 14 - The Impression of Increase
Will you join me in this challenge?
I will start counting back to 0 days if I miss one day. As of Tuesday, April 7 I've read the four chapters for thirty consecutive days. Challenge won!
Note: the book is freely (as in cost of 0) available on Wikisource.org. You can also get it in the form of a (once again) freely downloadable audiobook on Librivox. And to allow you to "read" the book while driving or partaking in actions that do not permit reading, I've concatenated the four relevant chapters into a single OGG audio file. So no excuses!
